The World Scout Jamboree is one of the most significant events in the global Scouting movement, bringing together thousands of young people from around the world to celebrate unity, adventure, and cultural exchange. Held approximately every four years, the Jamboree is a gathering unlike any other, offering Scouts the opportunity to experience a world of diversity while participating in activities that foster personal growth, leadership, and global citizenship.
The Experience
Attending a World Scout Jamboree is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many young people. The event typically lasts around ten days to two weeks and is filled with a wide array of activities designed to challenge, educate, and inspire. Scouts participate in outdoor adventures, cultural exchanges, community service projects, and educational workshops. These activities are crafted to align with the values of Scouting, such as leadership, teamwork, and respect for nature and others.
Dates and participation:
The 26th World Scout Jamboree is scheduled to take place from 30 July to 8 August 2027, bringing together Scouts from all over the globe for a unique celebration of unity, adventure, and shared learning. This event is one of the most anticipated gatherings in the global Scouting calendar, and it promises to be an unforgettable experience for all involved.
To participate as a Youth Participants, you must be between 14 and 17 years old at the time of the event. This means they should have been born between 30 July 2009 and 30 July 2013.
Those who are older, specifically born on or before 30 July 2009, have the opportunity to join as International Service Team (IST) volunteers. These volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the Jamboree, taking on a variety of support roles throughout the event.
Adult volunteers, including those on the Contingent Management Team (CMT), must also be 18 years or older, adhering to the same age requirement as IST volunteers.
